Tesla's 2nd India showroom in Gurugram

Elon Musk’s electric vehicles (EVs) manufacturing company, Tesla has leased 33,475 sq ft retail and service center space at Orchid Business Park, Sohna Road, Gurgaon for a monthly rental of Rs 40 lakh.This will be company’s second showroom in India after Mumbai, where it has opened a showroom recently.According to documents shared by data analytics firm CRE Matrix, Tesla has leased the space for 9 years with lease starting from July 15.Tesla has paid Rs 2.41 crore as security deposit. Tata Motors, Yes Bank, Vodafone Idea now India’s most widely held stocks

Mumbai: Tata Motors, Yes Bank, and Vodafone Idea have emerged as the country's most widely held stocks, replacing recent favourites like Reliance Power, Reliance Industries and State Bank of India.Tata Motors topped the charts with the highest number of shareholders, crossing 67.5 lakh as of June 2025, about 3.4 times the count in June 2020 and over 15 times higher than in 2015, when it had just 4.1 lakh shareholders, according to data compiled by ETIG.Yes Bank followed closely, with its shareholder base rising to 63.5 lakh in June 2025, nearly two times higher than in 2020 and 3.5 times what it was a decade ago, when the count stood at 17.99 lakh.A high shareholder base means shares of a company are widely held by retail and institutional investors, making them liquid and easily tradable.

Retail investors flock to mid and smallcap mutual funds despite valuation concerns

Mumbai: Retail investors have continued to plough high sums into mid and smallcap mutual fund schemes as they chase high returns, despite elevated valuations and advisories on moving to safer ground. Retail investors have invested ₹20,255 crore into these mutual funds in the first three months of this financial year, accounting for 30% of total equity inflows of ₹66,689 crore. Association of Mutual Funds of India data also show that, over the past year, investors have poured ₹90,075 crore into these funds, accounting for 23% of total equity flows of ₹3.9 lakh crore."A lot of retail investors continue to chase past performance," said Harshvardhan Roongta, principal financial planner, Roongta Securities.
