IMD issues rain alert for Delhi-NCR

Residents of Delhi and the National Capital Region (NCR) were greeted by cloudy skies and gentle showers on Tuesday morning. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast more cloudy weather throughout the day, with a yellow alert issued for Gurugram and Faridabad.The rain also had an impact on air travel, prompting Indigo Airlines to advise passengers to check their flight status before heading to the airport. “It is a rainy start in Delhi, with gentle showers expected through the day. India, US hold 2+2 talks amid tariff row

Senior officials of India and the US have discussed bilateral ties in the areas of trade and investment, critical minerals, and energy security, including strengthening civil nuclear cooperation. The virtual talks held on Monday under the framework of '2+2 Intersessional Dialogue' came against the backdrop of strain in ties between the two countries over Trump administration's policies on trade and tariff. Auto parts firms consider offshore plants

Auto parts makers in India are weighing options to diversify into other markets besides setting up plants overseas to navigate the effects of 50% tariff. Nearly half of India's auto parts exports to the US will attract the new duty effective today, doubling from the 25% tariff implemented from August 7. This is expected to impact exports worth $3.08 billion to the US, the largest destination for Indian auto parts.
