SC clears revival of Noida Sports City project

In a major relief for nearly 40,000 homebuyers stuck in the long-delayed Sports City projects of Noida the Supreme Court has cleared the way for construction to restart after almost three years of stagnation. Acting on the settlement reached between the Noida Authority and the project developer, the Court has issued a set of directions that unlock the project’s next phase.The current order is for Sector-150 Sports City where the original allottee had sub-leased the land to 24 developers and about 18,000 units are part of the project in 300-acre.Similar resolution is expected for two other sport cities in sector 150 and sector 78, 79. FPIs pull out over twice their November selling in just three days

Kolkata: Foreign portfolio investors (FPI) withdrew a net $933 million from the Indian equities in the first three days of December, more than double of the $425 million net outflows seen through the entire month of November, pressuring the local currency that crossed the 90-mark against the US dollar for the first time ever. Foreign fund inflows in the debt segment in the first three days of the month were also sharply lower, at $303 million compared with $527 million in November, data from NSDL showed. Overseas investors remained net sellers in the local equity market in 2025 so far with the net withdrawal amount stood at $17.33 billion. The net withdrawal is $3.91 billion in FY26 to date. D-St's not high on highs, half of NSE 500 trades below key mark

Mumbai: Key Indian indices, Nifty 50 and Sensex, recently scaled fresh lifetime highs, but beneath the surface, optimism is not widespread, with nearly half of NSE's top 500 stocks still trading below a key technical indicator. According to a study by Samco Securities, within the Nifty 500 universe, only 40% and 42% of stocks are trading above their 50-day and 100-day simple moving averages (SMAs), respectively. When a stock trades below both its 50-day and 100-day SMAs, it signals weakening momentum and a downtrend in the short-to-medium term. While these indicators do not signal a crash, they do indicate a vulnerable setup where rallies may get sold into, or there is a risk of the stock remaining weak.
