Mumbai: The glitter of oversubscribed initial public offerings (IPOs) is concealing a sobering reality for investors - a listing-day pop does not guarantee sustained returns. An analysis of IPOs in the last three years shows that companies are struggling to maintain post-listing momentum. Of the 155 public market debuts with an issue size of ₹500 crore and above that listed since 2023, 80 (51.7%) are trading below the issue price.
