On Monday, the Sensex fell 0.71% or 609.68 points to close at 85,102.69, while the Nifty briefly dipped below 26,000, sliding 1% intraday before ending 0.86% lower or 225.90 points at 25,960.55. Market breadth was sharply negative. Of the 4,485 stocks traded on BSE, 843 advanced while 3,460 declined. BSE market capitalisation fell 1.24%, dropping to ₹4
