Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Governor Sanjay Malhotra on Tuesday held a meeting in Mumbai with the managing directors and CEOs of public sector banks and select private sector lenders, urging them to transmit the recent policy rate cuts to customers to help bolster long-term economic growth.Since February 2025, the RBI has reduced the repo rate by 125 basis points, bringing it down to 5.25% to stimulate economic activity.
