MUMBAI: The Reserve Bank of India is expected to keep its policy repo rate unchanged at 5.25% through the next fiscal year after a 25-basis-point cut earlier this month, according to BMI, part of Fitch Solutions. The firm also forecast the rupee at near 90/USD by this month-end and around 90.5/USD in 2026.The commentary from BMI comes amid many economists and bond-market experts in India factoring in a further quarter percentage point reduction in policy rates, lowering terminal rate expectations to 5% in the current easing cycle after RBI looked past a sharply retreating rupee to deliver a rate cut last Friday."The current repo rate value is close to its terminal level and thus forecast no further changes in this rate from now till end-FY2026/27," said BMI in a report, projecting inflatio
Mumbai: Adani Enterprises Ltd said on Wednesday that the company concluded its nearly ₹25,000 crore rights issue with 108% subscription. The rights issue, one of the largest and closely watched, had opened for subscription on November 25. By the close of bidding Wednesday, the issue garnered applications for 149.5 million shares against 138.5 million on offer, according to BSE data. The portion of shares reserved for public investors was oversubscribed by 30%, receiving 47 million bids against the 36 million shares available. Promoters, who hold 74% of the Adani Group flagship, fully subscribed to their entitlement. The rights shares were priced at ₹1,800 each, structured with an upfront payment of ₹900 at the application stage and two subsequent calls of ₹450 each, scheduled for J
