Indian farmers win big in New Zealand FTA

India has decided not to extend import duty concessions to New Zealand for several sensitive sectors, including dairy, vegetables, sugar, copper, and aluminium, under the free trade agreement (FTA) set to be signed within the next three months. Officials said the move aims to safeguard the interests of Indian farmers and MSMEs.The two countries announced on Monday that negotiations for the FTA have concluded, with the pact expected to be implemented next year.Under the agreement, a detailed exclusion list will protect key domestic sectors. BSE shares jump 3% on plans to launch new monthly index options, revamp Bankex

Deccan begins trials at Kyrgyzstan gold mine

New Delhi: Gold and critical minerals exploration and mining firm Deccan Gold Mines Ltd on Monday announced the commencement of initial trials ahead of the commissioning of its gold mining project in Kyrgyzstan.The breakthrough paves the way for full-scale gold production.In the pre-commissioning phase, the company is likely to process approximately 20,000-30,000 tonnes of ore. Ather Energy to hike e-scooter prices

New Delhi: Electric two-wheeler maker Ather Energy on Monday said it will hike prices of its scooter lineup up to Rs 3,000 across models from January 1 citing rise in input costs and adverse forex impact.The increase comes as raw material, forex and key electronics components prices rise globally, Ather Energy said in a statement.The company's current product portfolio consists of the 450 series of performance scooters and family scooter Rizta with starting prices ranging from Rs 1,14,546 to Rs 1,82,946 (ex-New Delhi).Ather said it is currently offering its 'Electric December' scheme with benefits of up to Rs 20,000 across select cities.
