New York: Growing Chinese auto giant BYD stands poised to officially surpass Tesla as the world's biggest electric vehicle company in annual sales.The two groups are expected soon to publish their final figures for 2025, and based on sales data so far this year, there is almost no chance the American company led by Elon Musk will retain its leadership position.At the end of November, Shenzhen-based BYD, which also produces hybrid vehicles, had sold 2.07 million EVs so far in 2025.Tesla, for its part, had sold 1.22 million by the end of September. New Delhi: The government has exempt 14 copper products from the Copper Products (Quality Control) Order, 2024 dated April 26, 2024, for a period of one year, the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) said.These products include Silver bearing Oxygen Free Copper, Zirconium Copper used in generator rotor coils, End Wadge/ Rotor Center Wedge-material grade Berylium Alloy Copper Bar used in generator and certain Copper Alloy Strips the end use of which is bus bar for automobiles. Mexican authorities said on Sunday that at least 13 people were killed after a Interoceanic train derailed in the southern state of Oaxaca.The Mexican Navy said the train was carrying 250 people, including nine crew members and 241 passengers. Of those on board, 193 were reported to be out of danger, while 98 were injured, including 36 who were receiving medical assistance. President Claudia Sheinbaum said on X that five of the injured were in critical condition.The derailment occurred between the towns of Chivela and Nizanda, authorities said.Mexico's Attorney General's Office has already opened an investigation into the incident, Attorney General Ernestina Godoy Ramos said in a social media post.
Mumbai: After euphoria swept India's primary market to a record in 2025, it faces a reality check. Nearly half the companies that went public this year are trading below their initial public offer (IPO) price, highlighting a disconnect between listing-day enthusiasm and sustained investor interest.Of 103 companies that debuted on the bourses, 69 listed above their IPO prices, while 33 opened below. However, this initial momentum proved short-lived for several of them.
