Airport wi-fi, big bills spark Adani-DoT spat

Mumbai: India’s top telecom operators have sought urgent intervention from the Department of Telecommunications (DoT), alleging that Navi Mumbai International Airport Limited (NMIAL) has denied Right of Way (RoW) permissions to telcos and imposed an exclusive in-building telecom arrangement that violates the Telecommunications Act, 2023 and RoW Rules, 2024. Earlier this year, telcos had made a similar allegation against the Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation Limited (MMRCL) which had selected ACES India for offering connectivity within metro stations. The MMRCL had inked a contract for 12 years with ACES India, a wholly owned subsidiary of ACES Saudi Arabia, to offer connectivity to 625 million passengers annually.In May, similar letters from telcos had also gone to the airport authorities of

Delhi: Flights running smoothly, says DIAL

Flight operations at the Indira Gandhi International Airport are running smoothly as visibility has improved, airport operator Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL) said on Tuesday. In a passenger advisory, DIAL assured travellers that on-ground staff are available across terminals to assist passengers and provide necessary support. Flyers have been advised to check with their respective airlines for the latest flight schedules. The update comes a day after dense fog disrupted air traffic in the national capital. On Monday, at least 128 flights were cancelled, eight were diverted and nearly 470 services were delayed due to low visibility conditions, officials said.
