COAI calls DoT over RoW denial at Navi Mumbai airport

New Delhi: The Cellular Operators Association of India (COAI) has written to the Department of Telecommunications (DoT), seeking urgent intervention against Navi Mumbai International Airport Limited (NMIAL) for alleged denial of Right of Way (RoW) permissions and imposition of exclusive in-building telecom arrangements at the newly developed Navi Mumbai International Airport.In a letter addressed to the DoT Secretary and Chairman of the Digital Communications Commission, Neeraj Mittal, COAI stated that NMIAL qualifies as a "public entity" under the Telecommunications Act, 2023 and the Telecommunications (Right of Way) Rules, 2024, and is therefore statutorily obligated to grant RoW permissions in a non-discriminatory and time-bound manner for installation of telecom infrastructure.COAI, in

Kuwait limits overseas stay for foreign residents

Kuwait has revised its residency regulations, placing a strict limit on how long foreign residents can remain outside the country. According to a report by Gulf News, under a new ministerial decision issued by the Ministry of Interior, foreigners will no longer be allowed to stay abroad for more than six months, with limited exemptions for specific categories.The new rule is part of the executive regulations of Kuwait’s residency law and applies to all types of residency permits.
