Sujoy Paul was sworn in as the chief justice of Calcutta High Court on Friday.West Bengal Governor C V Ananda Bose administered the oath of office to Justice Paul at a function in court number one, the chief justice's court room.Justice Paul was appointed as a judge of the high court on July 18, 2025.He was officiating as the Acting Chief Justice of the high court since the retirement of former Chief Justice T S Sivagnanam.
Electric air taxis developed by Joby Aviation are set to begin commercial operations in Dubai by the end of this year, Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority Chairman Mattar Al Tayer said on Friday. Joby Aviation conducted the first test flight of its fully electric air taxi in the emirate in June 2025, a major milestone in Dubai's efforts to introduce them into its existing transport networks. The Joby Aerial Taxi, the flagship electric vertical take-off and landing aircraft developed by the California-based company, can fly distances of up to 160 kilometers (100 miles) at speeds reaching 320km/hr (200mph). New Delhi: India and the US are very close to a trade agreement, which will materialise when both sides are ready, commerce secretary Rajesh Agrawal said Thursday but stopped short of specifying a deadline.
