Gold seen as safer haven as silver valuations flash overbought signal

Mumbai: A widely-watched ratio comparing gold's value with silver is flashing caution for the white metal after a blistering rally propelled it to all-time highs. The gold-silver ratio is currently around 45 - the lowest level since September 2011, according to Samco Securities. The reading suggests silver might be overbought, prompting analysts to vouch for gold as a safer bet at this juncture.
