Post offices across India will start accepting digital payments at counters from August after completing the rollout of a new application in their IT system, official sources said. Post offices have not been able to accept digital payments as they don't have their accounts synced with UPI (unique payment interface) system. "The Department of Posts is implementing its IT infrastructure which will have new applications that are enabled to perform transactions with Dynamic QR Code. Rollout will be completed at all post offices by August 2025," an official source told PTI. Pilot rollout of the new system under IT 2.0 has been started in the Karnataka circle. India's forex reserves declined by $1.02 billion to $697.93 billion for the week ending June 20, data by the Reserve Bank of India showed on Friday.India's foreign exchange reserves stood at $698.95 billion as of June 13, up over $2 billion from the previous week.The forex reserves had touched an all-time high of $704.885 billion in end-September 2024.Typically, the RBI, from time to time, intervenes in the market through liquidity management, including through the selling of dollars, with a view to preventing a steep depreciation in the rupee.The RBI closely monitors the foreign exchange markets and intervenes only to maintain orderly market conditions by containing excessive volatility in the exchange rate, without reference to any pre-determined target level or band.
Around 17 equity mutual funds have offered over 20% XIRR on SIP investments in the last 10 years which includes some prominent names such as Parag Parikh Flexi Cap Fund, Quant Small Cap Fund, Motilal Oswal Midcap Fund, Quant Mid Cap Fund.
