The US Department of Labor (DOL) has set up a temporary Office of Immigration Policy to oversee and coordinate employment-based visa programs, the agency confirmed. The new unit will be led by Brian Pasternak, who currently heads the Office of Foreign Labor Certification. The office will report directly to Labor Secretary Lori Chavez-DeRemer and will function as the DOL’s central point of coordination for immigration-related matters.
