Priya Nair named HUL MD & CEO

Priya Nair has been appointed as MD and CEO of FMCG giant Hindustan Unilever (HUL), the company informed the exchanges on July 10.Nair will replace Rohit Jawa, who will step down from the top role at the company on July 31. He has quit in order to "pursue the next chapter in his personal and professional journey", the FMCG major said in a statement. Jawa had taken over as the CEO and MD of HUL in 2023.Nair has been appointed for a term of 5 years with effect from 1st August, 2025 till 31st July, 2030, the company statement said."The appointment of Priya Nair as the MD & CEO will be subject to approval of shareholders and other statutory approvals as may be applicable," the company added in a customary rejoinder.HUL also informed that Nair will also join the company Board, subject to ne

Tata Elxsi Q1 Results: PAT plunges 22% YoY, revenue falls 3.7% on macroeconomic headwinds

Tata Elxsi on Thursday reported a 22% decline in its Q1FY26 consolidated net profit at Rs 144 crore versus Rs 184 crore in the year ago period. The revenue from operations also fell 3.7% at Rs 892 crore versus Rs 926 crore in corresponding quarter of the last financial year amid macroeconomic uncertainties and customer specific issues.On a sequential basis, the profit after tax (PAT) was 16% lower in the quarter under review against Rs 172 crore posted in the January-March quarter of FY25. Trump imposes 50% tariffs on Brazil

U.S. President Donald Trump said on Wednesday the U.S. would impose a 50% tariff on all imports from Brazil after a spat this week with his Brazilian counterpart who called him an unwanted "emperor." Brazil's President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva fired back on Wednesday, saying new tariffs would be met with reciprocal measures. In a letter, Trump linked the tariffs to Brazil's treatment of former President Jair Bolsonaro, who is on trial over charges of plotting a coup to stop Lula from taking office in 2023. The levies were imposed due "in part to Brazil's insidious attacks on Free Elections, and the fundamental Free Speech Rights of Americans," the letter said. TCS expected to show marginal revenue growth in Q1 amid currency fluctuations

ET Intelligence Group: Tata Consultancy Services is expected to report marginally better dollar denominated revenue growth on sequential basis for the June quarter compared with the previous quarter. The country's largest software exporter, which is slated to declare the first quarter numbers on Thursday evening, will likely report a sequential growth in net profit compared with a decline seen in the prior quarter.According to the average of the estimates by ETIG and 12 brokerages, revenue is expected to increase by 1.2% to $7,554 million compared with a 1% drop in the previous quarter. Capex, cost cuts spark turnaround hopes for Kirloskar Ferrous

Shares of Kirloskar Ferrous Industries have rebounded 29% in the last three months thereby reducing the one-year fall to 22%.
