HDFC chief is India's best-paid banker of FY25

Mumbai: Sashidhar Jagdishan, managing director and chief executive officer of HDFC Bank, emerged as India's highest-paid banker in the last financial year.Jagdishan drew a salary of more than ₹12 crore in FY25, a 12% increase from the year before. In addition, he was allotted 212,052 shares in employee stock options (ESOPs). At the current market price of about ₹2,000 per share, these are valued at more than ₹42.4 crore.Amitabh Chaudhry, MD and CEO of Axis Bank, earned a salary of ₹9.11 crore, a 5.4% decline from the previous year. Former CBDT chief is NFRA's new boss

The government has appointed Nitin Gupta, former Chairman of CBDT, as the Chairperson of the National Financial Reporting Authority (NFRA). Besides, Smita Jhingran, P Daniel and Sushil Kumar Jaiswal have been appointed as Full Time Members of the regulator, according to a source. The post of the NFRA Chairperson has been lying vacant after the three-year tenure of Ajay Bhushan Prasad Pandey ended on March 31. In April, the government gave the Competition Commission of India (CCI) chief Ravneet Kaur the additional charge as the NFRA Chairperson. An Indian Revenue Service (IRS) officer, Nitin Gupta is the former Chairman of the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT). DLF to invest Rs 1,000 crore in Mumbai project

DLF Ltd, India’s largest property developer, has entered Mumbai with a Rs 1,000 crore investment to develop the first phase of its project in Andheri.DLF, which achieved nearly half of its sales guidance of Rs 20,000–22,000 crore for FY26 in the fiscal first quarter itself, is expecting the first phase of the Mumbai launch to add Rs 2,300 crore in pre-sales.In July 2023, DLF had bought a 51% stake in the SPV that will develop around 3.5 million sq ft for Rs 400 crore.In the first phase, DLF will develop around 900,000 sq ft, as it is a slum rehabilitation project and more land will be made available gradually.“In the 900,000 sq ft, we will have 8 towers, of which we have launched two towers, and another two will be launched soon.
