AAP to be made accused in excise policy case: ED tells Delhi high court

The ED informed the Delhi high court aboutits intention to designate the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) as a respondent in the money laundering case related to the Delhi excise policy scandal. 'Can't sit on a couch...': SC blasts IMA chief in Patanjali misleading ads case

The SC bench consisting of Justices Hima Kohli and Ahsanuddin Amanullah reserved its orders on the contempt notice issued to Patanjali Ayurved Ltd, Balkrishna, and Ramdev. The counsel representing the firm sought time to file an affidavit detailing the steps being taken to recall the advertisements of Patanjali products whose licenses have been suspended. The bench has granted three weeks for the submission of the affidavit.

Elgar Parishad case: Supreme Court grants bail to Gautam Navlakha after four years in jail

A bench of Justices M M Sundresh and S V N Bhatti also directed Navlakha to pay Rs 20 lakh towards expenses for security during his house arrest. The bench noted, "We are inclined to not extend the stay as high court order is detailed in granting bail. Trial would take years and years and years for completion. Without going at length into contentions, we will not extend the stay. A sum of Rs 20 lakh to be paid to the opposite party as earliest."
