Forest officials reported that the fires in Marora and Khanana civil areas of the Narendranagar forest division's Maniknath range have been completely extinguished. Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, after reviewing the situation in the Kumaon region on Saturday night, stated that the forest blaze in Nainital and adjoining areas is gradually being brought under control following the deployment of an IAF Mi-17 V5 helicopter for firefighting operations.
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi accused PM Modi of favoring Delhi billionaires and alleged Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik serves only elites. At a rally in Kendrapara, he claimed BJP and BJD collaborate behind the scenes. Rahul hinted at Patnaik's aide VK Pandian's influence, accusing Modi and Patnaik of plundering Odisha's wealth, referencing "PAANN" - Pandian, Amit Shah, Narendra Modi, Naveen Patnaik.
PM Modi criticized Rahul Gandhi for allegedly appeasing a vote bank while neglecting atrocities by Muslim rulers, and aligning with parties glorifying Aurangzeb. While addressing an election rally in Belagavi, PM Modi emphasized Hindu rulers' contributions. The Prime Minister also went on to target the Congress over the deteriorating law and order situation in Karnataka since they came to power. He referred to the daylight murder of a Congress corporator's daughter in Hubballi.
