Taiwan's Taipei Fubon Bank and CTBC Bank are planning to open branches in Gujarat, India, as said by the office of Republic of China (Taiwan) in India in a social media post on Thursday.The planned Indian branch of these Taiwanese banks are said to open in Gujarat’s GIFT City, the post said.With this move, cross-border trade and finance ties between India and Taiwan are said to grow stronger.India is rolling out the red carpet for Taiwanese investment, the embassy said."With Taipei Fubon Bank and CTBC Bank eyeing branches in Gujarat’s GIFT City — India’s emerging global financial hub — cross-border trade and finance ties are set to grow stronger, the post said.— TWIndia2 (@TWIndia2) CTBC Bank already has two branches in India, one in New Delhi, another in Chennai.
