Messi's goal put Miami ahead, and he then assisted Luis Suarez, who made it 3-1. Jordi Alba scored Miami's first goal but saw it neutralized by Joseph Paintsil, who pulled LA Galaxy level. Miami will now face Tigres UANL in the Leagues Cup.
