What is TRF? Lashkar’s proxy who claimed responsibility for Pahalgam attack; now, a US-designated terror group

The United States has designated The Resistance Front (TRF), a proxy of Lashkar-e-Taiba, as a Foreign Terrorist Organization and Specially Designated Global Terrorist. TRF claimed responsibility for the deadly April 22, 2025, Pahalgam attack that killed 26 civilians and has conducted multiple assaults on Indian security forces.
