Jammu and Kashmir witnessed a significant 25% drop in fire incidents in 2025, with 6,039 cases compared to 8,033 the previous year. This reduction, attributed to prevention efforts and public awareness, saw property worth Rs 5,000 crore saved. The fire services also conducted numerous audits and provided crucial support during Operation Sindoor and the Amarnath Yatra.
