Director Shankar's ambitious 'Velpari' project has finally secured a producer after years of delays. Despite past budget overruns, a major production house is set to bankroll the three-part fantasy historical film, based on Su Venkatesan’s novel. Strict budget and schedule conditions have been imposed on Shankar, who is currently in pre-production for the epic tale of the legendary Tamil ruler.
