Director Suneel Darshan revealed 'Andaaz' was initially meant to star Karisma or Kareena Kapoor. Seeking better chemistry, he cast Lara Dutta and Priyanka Chopra instead. Impressed by Priyanka’s presence, he predicted her stardom. Akshay Kumar’s respectful nature and the friendly set atmosphere made filming enjoyable.
