Housefull 5, featuring a star-studded cast, premiered on June 6 and had a strong opening, outperforming Kamal Haasan's Thug Life in the Hindi market. While Thug Life's Tamil version performed well, its overall collection lagged behind Housefull 5, which earned Rs 24 crore on its first day alone.
