New Income-Tax Bill: Why has Centre withdrawn the bill from Lok Sabha?

The Income-Tax Bill, 2025, initially introduced in February, has been withdrawn by the government to prevent confusion. A revised version, incorporating recommendations from the Select Committee led by BJP MP Baijayant Panda, is set to be presented in the Lok Sabha on August 11.
