From Lucknow’s Rashtriya Prerna Sthal, Union Home & Cooperation Minister Shri Amit Shah delivered a nation-facing message on Uttar Pradesh Diwas—stating that UP has moved from being called a “labour
source state” to becoming the “force state” of India’s economy.

In a clear appeal ahead of the election year, he urged voters to rise above caste divisions, reject dynastic politics, and once again make the BJP’s lotus bloom—asserting that welfare, development, and national security require a strong BJP mandate in Uttar Pradesh.

Key highlights from the address:

  • Infrastructure & connectivity: Expanded National Highway network; UP now has the highest number of airports in the country.
  • Defence & self-reliance: A Defence Corridor established; BrahMos missiles being manufactured in UP.
  • Governance outcomes: Corruption curbed, law & order strengthened, and welfare schemes delivered on the ground; every village receiving around 20 hours of electricity daily.
  • Youth empowerment: Interest-free and guarantee-free loans up to ₹5 lakh (with subsidy support) being extended to large numbers of youth beneficiaries.
  • ODOP impact: “One District One Product” has scaled across UP, creating new livelihood and employment opportunities for artisans, youth, and women.
  • Agriculture & welfare: UP positioned as a national food basket; leading in sugarcane and ethanol; housing and pension benefits expanded for the poor, women, seniors, and persons with disabilities.
  • Civilisational confidence: Shri Ram Mandir in Ayodhya completed; Mahakumbh elevating Sanatan Dharma’s global presence.
  • Investment momentum: Major investment proposals received and large-scale projects already implemented; IT exports and new-age manufacturing/data-centre ecosystem expanding rapidly.

Calling Uttar Pradesh the “heartbeat and soul of India,” Shri Shah said the state is set to become the engine of India’s development and a strong pillar of Viksit Bharat by 2047.

He concluded with Uttar Pradesh Diwas greetings and slogans of:

"Vande Mataram" | "Bharat Mata Ki Jai"
